I sjösatta strömmars vila (2025/2026) by Nothern Sustainable Futures
I sjösatta strömmars vila (In the Stillness of Flowing Waters) is a site-specific, immersive performing arts experience where the audience travels in rowboats to the middle of a lake to experience dance, newly composed music, and opera. The project blends art, nature, and sustainability, and is created in collaboration with the local community and researchers in limnology and ecology.

Its purpose is to move the performing arts out of traditional venues and into the landscape, where people encounter nature on its own terms. By placing the audience physically within the waterscape, the experience deepens their understanding of our dependence on—and connection to—nature’s cycles. The goal is to explore new forms of performance, foster engagement, and inspire reflection on our relationship with water and place.
